Jeeva (Tamil: ஜீவா), born January 4, 1984, as Amar, is a South Indian actor. His real name is Amaravathi. He started his career with Aasai Aasaiyai, produced by his father.
Personal Background Jeeva was born as Amar B to acclaimed film producer R. B. Choudary. He has two brothers, among B. Suresh, a producer of his father's company "Super Good Films" and Githan Ramesh, also an actor.Jeeva married Supriya on the 21st of November 2007. The marriage was held in New Delhi
Film Career He started his career as a child actor in two of his father's productions. His debut film as a male lead was Aasai Aasaiyai, produced by father's company. The movies Thittikudhey and Raam followed, the latter being a major financial success. It was screened at Indian Panorama and later at the Cyprus International Film Festival, where it won two awards - the Best Actor award for Jeeva and the Best Musical Score Award for its music director, Yuvan Shankar Raja.
Later on Jeeva appeared in other hit films such as Aran where he acted alongside Mohanlal as an Indian army soldier. He also made his debut in Malayalam cinema with Keerthi Chakra, the dubbed version of Aran. Jeeva's film E was also a critically acclaimed featured film.
He is currently acting in Thenavettuuuu and Siva Manasula Sakthi. The former is an action entertainer while the latter is a breezy romantic film.
Jeeva, who is eagerly expecting the release of 'Siva Manasula Sakthi' and 'Thenavattu', will act in a film titled 'Kudumi'.
Expected to be an out and out action entertainer, the movie will be directed by debutant Rajkumar. Super Good Films, owned by Jeeva's father R B Chowdry will produce the film.
It has to be noted that Jeeva, who was introduced to filmdom by his father, has not acted in Super Good banner in recent years.
