Kannada film industry's most loved actor Vijay Raghaven-dra's wedding with Spandana was one of the biggest event of the year in Bangalore recently with the who's who from the film industry as well as the political arena attending the ceremony. While the groom wore a brown and maroon coloured three-piece designer suit, the bride was attired in a gold saree for the reception that went on till late evening on August 26 at the Gayathri Vihar, Palace Grounds. Of the 25,000 guests who came to bless the newly weds, some of the famous personalities spotted were Rameshwar Thakur, Governor of Karnataka, Srikanta Datta Wodeyar, King of Mysore, Mallikarjun Kharge, President, Karnataka Pradesh Cong-ress Committee (KPCC), DK Shiv-kumar, former Congress Minister, B Janardhan Poojary, former KPCC president, H.D. Deve Gowda, former Prime Minister, film folks like Jayamala, Umashri, Vishnuvardhan and Bharathi, Gurukiran, Darshan, Malashri, Tara, Sudeep, Hamsalekha, Hema Chaudhary, Vishal Hegde, to name a few. The entire family of late Dr Rajkumar was also present. Vijay Raghavendra is the nephew of Smt Parvathamma.
Raghu, as he is popularly known as, is the son of Kannada film producer, SA Chinne Gowda while Spandana is the daughter of BK Shivaram, Assistant Commissioner of Police of Bangalore and niece of BK Hariprasad, MP and AICC general secretary.
